MTV


MTV was launched in 1981 August the 1st and is still running, as well as showing music videos it also does documentary's (16 And Pregnant, My Super Sweet 16) they show many genres of music for many music lovers. But I believe that it should show what it was created to do, playing many genre music videos than also playing documentary's and TV shows. But there adverts are really shorts so it has more showing time and less bored watchers, there adverts are what's on there channel like festivals. Our band would be either on MTV hits or MTV Rock as our bands genre is pop/rock, But MTV rock is more Heavy rock than soft rock like our bands genre.



Viva

Viva was launched in October 26th 2009 it was started by Alexandra Burke, it replaced an old TV channel TMF. It has an 0.2% Audience from the UK this channel is also owned by MTV. I belive this is a better channel than MTV as big as MTV is the slogan to Viva is 'up your viva' its catchy and easy to remember.
